What our campers and parents say...

“My 13 year old son...attended the elite breaststroke camp you coached at Kenyon College a few weeks ago.  He swam in a prelim/finals meet last weekend and dropped 4.43 seconds in his 100 breast.  He really enjoyed camp.”

- Parent

"She loved all aspects of the swimming and the attention each swimmer received from the coaches.  She felt very excited after the benchmarks and going over the videos with the coaches...She came home more confident after this experience.  The camp is so well run...she loved it.  You all have thought of everything and it shows.”

- Parent (Kenyon)

"My son absolutely loves this camp. We have flown him from Alaska to Michigan the past two years. He is planning to attend next year as well.”

- Parent (Calvin)

“TPSC is awesome!  I loved being in an environment where there weren’t too many campers and I didn’t feel like I was just part of the crowd.  The coaches are great and are intent on having you improve.  The counselors were super cool too!”

- Calvin Camper

"Our daughter saw positive improvement on times both weeks she attended your camp in the last three years.”

- Parent (Kenyon)

“We picked him up on a Wednesday and on Thursday he swam the 1500.  He took off a ton of time, even after just completing camp, where he swam a ton of yards!”

- Parent of Elite Distance Camper

I think my daughter gained SOOO much from this camp. After attending, she had nothing but personal bests the rest of the summer season and met swimming goals set for Fall/Winter. Amazing Freestyle and Backstroke gains.”

- Parent (Kenyon)

“Our swimmer was able to make some big changes to her strokes and her coaches are impressed.”

- Parent (Calvin)

“She thought it was well run and informative, with a group of people who are there to go fast…which is what she wanted.  She said it was much better than other big name camps she has attended and she would do it again.”

- Parent of Elite Fly/Back Camper

"...the coaches are super fun. If all swim practices were like that, I would want to swim forever. You don't have to worry about being the slowest or fastest in a group."

"As a parent, I appreciate knowing my kids are in a safe environment and learning from qualified coaches; but most importantly, this camp rejuvenates my boys love of swimming and reminds them just how fun it can be! All 3 of my kids, who are of all different ages and levels, came home feeling really good about their swimming, themselves, and the experience over all."

- Parent

"My daughter...just finished camp this week and I wanted to let you know how much she enjoyed your program! This is her first time at your campus and she said it was beautiful, the food was amazing (she's vegetarian) and the great coach to student ratio. She learned a lot and said the dorms were so nice! She will definitely be back!"

- Parent

"So many great opportunities at these camps: 1. The chance to work on the "little things" that seem to slip by in practice; 2. The opportunity to remain in shape during a camp (easier said than done); 3.The chance to meet kids from all around the country who share a love for the sport. My kids have established friendships at these camps that have endured for years; 4. The opportunity to look at the "big" picture—nutrition, fitness, mental well-being, and more. I could go on! ...Both of my kids who attended have small journals that they compiled during camp that they keep in their swim bags!"

"The [Total Performance] swim camp was a clear breakthrough for our daughter's development as a swimmer. Not only in technique and speed but also in passion and motivation for the sport.  We will for sure be back next year and little sister is excited to be old enough to join as well. We look forward to the daily glowing FaceTime reports from the dorm room in the evenings."

"I wanted to let you know that Meredith is absolutely loving the camp! :-). She says she has learned so much that she never even knew! Thank you for everything."

"I did the Total Performance Elite Distance Camp at Kenyon last week and I wanted to let you know that it was one of the best swimming experiences that I've ever had. I feel like it has radically changed how I swim and how I think of swimming – for the first time in years, I was excited to get in the pool and practice what I was learning before every single practice, and I had tons of fun while I was swimming and in between. I'd like to thank you for making this camp a really great time from which I hope to move forward and become stronger while continuing to enjoy swimming more and more!"

"I wanted to express my deep appreciation for the type of camp you offered to my son this past summer. Your camp imparted a comprehensive education of distance swimming. This encompassed training both wet and dry, valuable classroom instruction and pulling it all together in a meaningful/purposeful way that would sink into the teenage swimmer brain. Wow, seems easy on paper but I know that you all put in many years of work to impart all this knowledge in a package that the kids can take home. My son has used the skills he learned in your camp to further his dream. I can not begin to thank you enough for how you helped him this past summer. Many parts of his swimming, both technical and mental have benefited. Also, while at camp he made friends with other young men and has kept in contact with them as the year rolled on. Thank you again. I wanted to let you know that your efforts are meaningful and valued highly."

"Thank you so much for the great experience our girls had at camp. Maeve and Emma are still talking about things they learned, are sharing with their friends and coaches and working on the new skills. Todd and I are especially happy with the transformation of Emma. Emma has always been quiet about what she wants to do and has struggled in swimming because of her size, often stepping up on the blocks towered between giants in comparison. She for the first time in her almost 10 year swimming career has not mentioned size or strength. She has so much confidence and has developed into a competitor. It is almost like she is "hunting them down." It has been so much fun watching this transformation. You will be happy to hear that Emma qualified for YMCA Nationals (lots of tears and joy). She is swimming the 100 fly, 50 fly, time trailing the 200 fly, 100 breast and she made the 400 medley relay."

"I recently attended the TPSC [Elite] breaststroke and IM camps. I just wanted to let you know that I had one of the best swimming summers of my life because of the help that you and the camps gave me. I got my first junior national cut in the 100m breaststroke and I hope on also getting the 200 IM and 200 breaststroke cuts this coming winter. Thanks again for all of your help."
