University of Texas All-American, Clay Youngquist grew up in Battlecreek, MI within a swimming family and was coached by his mother until college.  He started swimming at the age of 4 on team WMS (West Michigan Swimmers). He also swam for PAC (Portage Aquatic Club) and LAC (Lakeview Aquatic Club) in High school.  Before being recruited to the University of Texas by Eddie Reese, Youngquist's speciality events in HS were the 50, 100, 200, and 500 Free and the 100 Fly.  At the University of Texas, Youngquist dominated in middle distance freestyle - primarily the 200 and the 500, and the 200 fly. He was a two-time NCAA Champion, a 13-time NCAA All-American, and an 11-time Big 12 Champion.  In addition Youngquist qualified for the USA National team in 2014-15, the World University Games in 2015 and the World Championship Team in 2015.
