The Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex

Campers at our Calvin location train in one of the most impressive indoor facilities in the country. In fact, according to the 2013-2014 rankings released by the Princeton Review, Calvin's athletic facilities ranked 19th in the nation! Built in 2009, The Spoelhof Fieldhouse Complex houses the 5,000 seat Van Noord Arena for basketball and volleyball, an 80-foot climbing wall, a new indoor track and tennis center (TNT), 18,000 sq. ft. of weight and training room space and the Venema Aquatic Center, home of the Knights swim and dive team.

The state-of-the-art Aquatic Center features a 50-meter pool with a moveable bulkhead. The bulkhead allows for multiple configurations: competitive 25-meter or 25-yard, youth swimming instruction and long course - 50 meter. For instruction, there is a wet classroom for easy movement to and from the pool and classroom. The Venema Aquatic Center seats roughly 500 spectators.
